Watch the What's Pho Lunch? online guitar lesson by Shane Theriot from Solo Mojo

In the solo, over the F7(#9), I phrased the first lick with an alternate fingering and bent into the 3rd. Note how I used the 6th a lot in this one too. Since the F7 never moves or resolves it's a great candidate for the C melodic minor. (Melodic minor up a 5th from the root (F). Also note how I play a phrase and then repeat it a half step below (playing outside). Another important thing is to try and get your phrasing happening, this just comes from learning other solos from your favorite players and then hours and hours of practice and experience.
