Watch the What You Must online guitar lesson by Larry Carlton from 335 Blues
Practice what you must - play what you love. That's a philosophy that has served me well over my entire career. Only by learning good technique will you build a familiarity with the fingerboard that allows you to express yourself without boundaries.
Once your technique is together you can find what works for you personally and that's when you can play your heart out. We hear that phrase "play your heart out" a lot, but I'm talking about listening to what is in your heart and putting it out there for everyone to enjoy. That's what allows us, as musicians, to connect with fellow players and with our audience.
I hope that 335 BLUES has provided you with enough material to "practice what you must" so that you can round out your blues playing and "play what you love!" I'd love to hear what you think of the course or anything else that you'd like to share with me. Head over to LarryCarlton.com
when you get a chance and drop me a note.
