This song has a lot of the things we've been talking about like restraint, singing the melody, making the melody your own. It has a couple of places where the key changes and I try to incorporate that singing melody through the chord changes so it hides the chord changes a little bit. It sounds like I am playing in the ame key even though I'm changing keys. Even though it's over a bluesy melody I have these horn riffs in mind. This song is a real good example of "less is more". Let those rests really take their place. When you come off of the rest into the next phrase it puts so much more importance on the phrase.
