Now I'm going to play over the same progression: G maj7#11, Bb maj7#11
C maj7#11, to Eb maj7#11. But in this segment, I will move the melodic patterns visually up the neck. Starting with an F# minor pentatonic (over G maj7#11), I will move up three frets to an A minor pentatonic, then up two frets (or a whole step) to B minor pentatonic, and finally up three frets to D minor pentatonic. We can see how we can get into that shape shifting guitar technique and handle these parallel changes pretty easily.
