In this section we'll look at how to target the suspended colors by using triads. A major triad a step down from the root of the chord (dominant 7, minor 7) will give us a suspended sound. For instance, a Bb major triad superimposed over a C7 chord will give us the notes: b7, 9, and 11 (or 4, the suspension). In the same way we worked with this material in the last section on triads over Lydian chords, we can get the suspended sound under our fingers by just using the simple triad cell in our playing.
