Playing through the changes is one of the goals of any jazz musician. Being able to interpret a progression to understand how the harmony is functioning at any given moment is also an important skill to learn.
In this lesson, we'll begin that process by looking at the II-V-I progression. This progression is one of the most important progressions to learn as it is seen through our jazz repertoire. Here we'll see by just playing the major scale we are able to play on the changes through the changes of this progression.
