Now that you know how to play a 2-5-1 chord progression with the root on the 6th string let's apply that knowledge to playing the 2-5-1 progression with the root on the 5th string. Relating the scale degree numbering system to the 5th string is very simple to do. The one difference is that the 5th degree will be an octave lower and the root note of the 5 chord will be on the 6th string.
