Watch the Harmonic Minor online guitar lesson by John Stowell from Modern Jazz Improv

This is a variation on the implied V concept introducing a bit more tension and release using the same four keys of harmonic minor over dominant as melodic minor. Moving back and forth between harmonic and melodic minor chords/arpeggios in the same key can help you focus on internalizing small adjustments/changes in the altered dominant harmony. Creating progressions of harmonic/melodic minor chords/arpeggios over implied V chords is another variation.
