In this disc we continue where we left off, addressing ideas that fit the F7 (IV) chord in the key of C. This is another two-measure phrase consisting of a pair of distinctly different, yet related moves. The opening lick is once again an example of a common repetition for the style, using a three-note major blues figure across a feeling of four. What follows is a lick that makes use of the 9th (D) of the key, very sax-like and used in both the upper and lower octaves to great effect.
