Watch the Fligaduh Blues online guitar lesson by Frank Vignola from Jazz Up Your Blues
Fli-ga-duh say it out loud a couple times. It's a great way to get used to that triplet rhythm and it's fun to say! Notice how a recurring pattern can be very effective in a melody or solo. This solo has a three note pattern that is being moved to different strings and different positions. The key is to keep it melodic! It's very easy to get carried away with your fligaduhs but let the melody keep you grounded. Try to have a target tone so your lines will have a beginning and an end. Vary it up and try the fligaduhs with your own note combinations. This is a great technique to have!
