In this example, I take our basic phrase and harmonize it using 2:1 dyads. 2:1 dyads consist of two voices, one voice moving two notes for every one note of the second voice. This is another tricky texture, but a very useful and exciting one. It can be used to provide movement against a slow line, or to play eighth notes against a quarter note bass (very tricky, indeed). It's also a good practice for our next section on counterpoint.
