Watch the Inversion Excursion online guitar lesson by Frank Vignola from Inversion Excursion

When Brad at TrueFire suggested an Inversion Excursion course, I first put together 20 segments covering the basics. After presenting my plan and getting the opportunity to discuss the project at length we soon realized that if this wasn't a complete methodology of not only how to learn inversions but how to apply them it would be just another "chord book". This is when the work began. Now that I am writing the conclusion after many, many hours of hard work by not only myself but the whole TrueFire team I realize that I am anxious to get my guitar out and practice my inversions through in all 12 keys. Going through each segment again and writing the text made me realize that there is no other course like this. It covers it all. The methodology is simple. Learn the fingerboard as we go both horizontally and vertically. One triad at a time. I still use these inversions to this day, literally. I still practice and use the methodology presented in this course in my daily practice and in every performance whether with Les Paul or Vinny Raniolo. I do believe that the mission was accomplished in producing the most comprehensive approach on the market today to not only learn more chords, understanding inversions and learning inversions in a logical, easy to understand fashion. Through the efforts an extremely comprehensive approach to learning the guitar fret board was also produced. So practice every day. Les Paul does. Bucky Pizzarelli does. We should also.
