Watch the C7 b9 Chord Inversions online guitar lesson by Frank Vignola from Inversion Excursion
We start by playing through the dominant b9 inversions on the top four strings. These are also diminished chords. It is a great way to get used to the dominant b9 sound. In this segment, we also go over using and connecting the C or root and the b9 or Db. Using these two as connecting tones works well. We also go over the other inversions and more. Moving different inversions of this chord up and down the fingerboard three frets like we do with the diminished chord produces some cool sounds.
