Now that you have a good grasp on the minor/major 7th chord and inversions let's move on to some spread or open inversions by using octave displacement, to create even more inversions. We will use the 2-3-4-5 string inversions but displace the note played on the 4th string closed voiced chords that we learned in the earlier section and play it an octave higher on the high E or 1st string. For each inversion, look at the chord and pick out each of the chord tones naming the notes.
