Watch the Looping Live: With A Band online guitar lesson by Robbie Calvo from Creative Looping Handbook

I'm using a backing track that consists of bass and drums to serve as my band. The idea here is to play along with the band as you normally would in a live situation, so you'll be recording the last cycle of the chord progression as a rhythm guitar part to solo over.

What I'm going to do is play the guitar part three times and engage the looper on the fourth cycle. As soon as my 2 bar loop is recorded, I'll be jumping into solo mode for 16 measures. I'll want to have a crescendo for the solo and disengage the loop to resume playing rhythm guitar. Let's watch how I did that in the studio.
