Watch the Triads: Level 2 online guitar lesson by Chris Buono from Guitar Gym: Triad Workouts

This next Level 2 workout has you playing closed voiced triads vertically across the neck in the same manner as the previous workout, but this time you're starting from the 1st inversion. What ties in this set of triads of all four types to the ones in the previous workout is the lowest note. Workout #1 was all chords with a C root, now you're playing all Ab chords with C (or Cb) as a bass note.

Playing and seeing triads this way helps drives home how to play closed voiced triads on every string set. All rules apply: Be sure to look and think ahead, try to grab the fingering in the air before coming down on the strings and position your fingers so every note is heard clearly.
