Watch the Arpeggios online guitar lesson by Chris Buono from Guitar Gym: Triad Arpeggios

So far you've played through the ever-important three-string arpeggio setup and then explored their full range versions on all six strings. Both Levels had some very cool progressions with very intentional movements and voice leading paving the way for you to make the most out of your burgeoning arpeggio mastery. Now it's time to make your arpeggio Workouts help your neck vision and general awareness of shapes be even more complete. So, here comes Level 3!

The three Workouts here in Level 3 are just two strings large. That's right: TWO STRINGS. In many instances that's all it takes to play some devastatingly cool arpeggio licks. And, there's something else going on under the hood: They're in two different time signatures - 3/4 and 4/4. Once again relating back to what was established in Level 1 you'll start out with the same type of arpeggio in the same key, but this time in a two string configuration on the top strings. From there you'll travel throughout the neck diagonally in octaves and unisons. These journeys will be in six bar sets per sound starting in 3/4 with major and moving on to minor, diminished and then closing it out with augmented. Pay close attention to the fifth and sixth bars of each set in 4/4 where you have a smooth three octave diagonal run up and down each arpeggio in 1/8 note triplets. That's a standard vision that's extremely effective and very cool sounding. Ready?!
