Watch the Sweep Picking online guitar lesson by Chris Buono from Guitar Gym: Sweep Picking
Level 2 continues to develop your descending sweeps technique while helping to build your sweep picking stamina with longer, more intricate workouts that have shorter resting points. Sounds hard? Not at all if you're putting the time in, building slowly and carefully monitoring your budding sweep picking technique especially when it comes to the requisite "resistance."
Workout #1 exploits the diagonal vision established at the end of Level 1, but splits the idea up in whole steps for an angular sounding Workout in 4/4. The following workout brings back the triad arpeggio, this time within a triplet feel. For the first time, you'll flow right from an ascending sweep to a descending one with only a top string pull-off to separate it. The final workout flows in triplets, but this time nested in a compound meter, extending the string range to the top five while maintaining the flow from ascending to descending sweep patterns.
