Watch the Sweep Picking: Level 1 online guitar lesson by Chris Buono from Guitar Gym: Sweep Picking
To cap off the Level 1 Sweep Picking Workouts, you have this jam in 7 that utilizes the top four strings and has you starting to play some descending motions. But to keep that from getting the best of you, the entire workout plays but one arpeggio - a maj9 from the root in a closed position. Plus, it stays on each chord for a bit so you can focus on the task at hand before you have to shift to a new position. Also, there's a pull-off at the top to break up the sweeping stroke to make the workout even easier to digest. The maj9 chords move up the neck in a series of four chords that are separated by a minor 3rd interval. If you're tetradically aware, that's a dim7 pattern. Regardless, it sounds really cool!
