Watch the String Skipping: Level 3 online guitar lesson by Chris Buono from Guitar Gym: String Skipping

For the final Level 3 Skipping Strings Workout, we'll make a return to arpeggios, but this time with extended tetrad arps that have not one, but two instances of skipping strings within them. There are two types to work through: The 5-3-1 string type and the 6-4-2 type. Both will be played in a descending/ascending fashion with one pick attack per string that kick starts the legato components of the lick. This approach can go a long way and give you a way to play extended arpeggios with lightning speed. For a jaw dropping example of these types of string skips, look no further than Paul Gilbert for inspiration.
