In this workout #1 we'll play two 6th string rooted power chords that are separated by a whole step. You'll start with a V position A5 and then go down two frets to play a III position G5. You'll notice we'll start out nice and easy playing whole steps at a very slow tempo. The key here is to play the chords clearly and keep the pressure applied to the grip steady. While you're holding down a chord visualize the next one, and when it comes time to make the change, keep your fingers in that formation and you'll make the move to the next chord smooth and strong.
