The first workout will have you picking the first note of the chromatic sequences that are played twice per string. The first time you'll play the sequence in an ascending fashion using hammer-ons then follow it with a pick attack to start playing the sequence in a descending fashion using pull-offs. It's not as easy you think and will serve as a great exercise for your legato chops!
