This example is one of the most common pairs of chords that you'll encounter in all styles of music: a G5 and a Cadd9. On the G5, be sure that you're deadening the fifth string with the palm side of your second finger. Also make sure you stay in the rhythmic "pocket," starting out with playing each chord for four beats before you move into more rhythmic figures with your right hand.
