Of all the skills to work in these Weekly Workouts, bending will be the one I revisit the most. Weekly Workout #11 bends its way through an A7 arpeggio that's played in two different positions - 5th and 12th positions - with a high bend to the root to cap it off. The challenge to your bending intonation is done with half approach bends to chord tones almost all the way through the lick. To make it happen, you'll need to push strings both up (common) and down (not-so-common) and play most of the bends with one finger. In the end, it makes for a very cool sounding lick and a heck of a Workout!
