Root 6 Minor Pentatonic in the Key of A
Note: Major pentatonic scales look the same as minor pentatonic scales, but the root note is located in a different place. The focus of this series is predominantly on minor pentatonics, but we will touch upon one major pentatonic scale in week eight. Major pentatonics can be used to play blues, and also can be woven into the minor pentatonics to create a hybrid pentatonic sound. Major pentatonics are often used in country music, Southern rock, and songs that are in major keys with a melodious melody line.
