Watch the C 8 Bar: Nobody Knows online guitar lesson by Rob Garland from Melodic Soloing: Blues Chord Tones

Examining an 8 bar blues reminiscent of the 1920's song "Nobody Knows You When You're Down & Out" by Jimmy Cox, later popularized by Eric Clapton. The chords are:

|C E7 |A7 |Dm A7 |Dm |

|F F#dim |C A7 |D7 |G7 |

Play the chords in the open position and also up the neck as small triads - this will help you see chord tones that you can extract for your solo. Play along with the jam track following the chords. Next, I'll demonstrate a solo using some chord tones.
