Watch the Plena online guitar lesson by David Santos from Focus On: Latin Bass

In this breakdown of "Plena" pay close attention to the downbeat feel. The only anticipation is found in letter B. Play along with me slowly and pay attention to the sixteenth note anticipation of the Bb chord in letter B and practice being accurate with that simple "push" rhythm.

Also be aware of the passing notes (used to travel between the chords) throughout known as chromatic approach tones. Memorize the "rhythm hit" or the "band hit" also known as a Corte. It's a tricky rhythm. Playing it slowly along with me will be beneficial in playing it correctly at the faster tempo.
