Well, there's a lot of info in this video for sure. To get started, I would suggest a few repeated licks. These help build chops as well as provide vocabulary, and are also quite common in blues and rock. I'd also think about the "stutter" phrases I played that we hear so often from Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton. Obviously these phrases are also blues rock staple licks and can be instantly appropriated into that genre. I would also suggest listening to any solo you hear critically: listening to the phrasing, bends, vibrato, dynamics—everything. Being aware of all these concepts helps them make their way into your playing.
