Watch the My Heart is Kind online guitar lesson by Jeff McErlain from Essentials: Solo Electric Blues

Robert Johnson was born in 1911 and died in 1938, although fairly unknown during his lifetime he is considered one of the most influential blues musicians of all time. The details of his life are fairly sketchy as they are all second hand accounts. In his brief life he recorded 29 songs in total that fell into obscurity as the blues fell out of favor. In 1961 and the release of the record Robert Johnson, King Of The Delta Blues Singer and the blues revival of that time did he gain the popularity that he so well deserved. These recordings influenced Eric Clapton and Keith Richards, and others, profoundly. His playing and singing are like no other blues musician. These recordings are required listening for any music fan.
