Watch the Limehouse Blues online guitar lesson by Brooks Robertson from Essentials: Boom-Chick Fingerstyle Etudes
The performance video is a great resource to become familiar with the tune, the chords, melody, and what the phrasing sounds like when the song is played up to speed in its entirety. It's important to maintain the steady boom-chick thumb rotation and muting the bass strings with the palm of the hand throughout the tune. We'll be playing chords in multiple positions on the neck using open strings to accommodate and voice the melody. Notice that the thumb on the picking hand never stops moving, no matter which chord is being played; it's always driving the tune and propelling it forward. As you work on each piece of the arrangement, reference the performance video, using it as a practice tool, listening, watching and eventually playing along at performance tempo.
