Here's a blues in the style of one of my heroes and good friend Robben Ford. Robben's mix of jazz and blues has made him a true original and one of the most influential blues guitar players over the last 30 years. There are many hallmarks to his style, the mixture of major and minor pentatonic scales much like that of BB King and Mike Bloomfield mixed with a jazz background.

I've heard him say that his playing is basically derived from three scales, the minor pentatonic, the major pentatonic, and the diminished scale. The diminished scale is a scale he is most closely associated with as it is something he pioneered in the blues. In this this solo, I try to point out his use of the diminished scale, and a few other stylistic trademarks.
