There are many classic blues standards we must know, and this is one of them. It's the changes to the verse of "Someday, After a While (You'll Be Sorry)" by Freddie King. My first exposure to this tune was on the John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers record Hard Road with Peter Green. Countless artists have covered it including Eric Clapton and Beth Hart.
The verse is eight bars long and very important to know as an 8 bar blues is a nice change up on an evening of 12 bar blues. The actual song has a bridge as well, but this 8 bar form doesn't need one if you want to play it as is. As usual, ALWAYS listen to as many versions as you can find.
