With over 30 years experience as a performer and recording artist, Joe Diorio has worked with such Jazz luminaries as Sonny Stitt, Eddie Harris, Ira Sullivan, Stan Getz, Horace Silver, and Freddie Hubbard. He has recently toured Italy with Riccardo Del Fra (bass player with Chet Baker, Johnny Griffin, Toots Thieleman.)

His most recent US releases include "Stateside": a collection of timeless jazz standards artfully played by Joe, Bob Magnusson on bass, and Jim Plank on drums. Also, "20th Century Impressions" with Jeff Berlin on bass and Vinnie Colauita on drums. Stateside is due to release in October 2000 and available at www.joediorio.com.

His four Italian releases on CD with Italian Jazz label RAM Records include: "I Remember Wes" a tribute to Wes Montgomery; A solo guitar album "We Will Meet Again" (RCMD 4501); "Double Take" (RMCD 4502) with live recordings of the performances with Riccardo Del Fra and "Rare Birds" (RMCD 4505), and a duo album with Mick Goodrick.

Highly respected as an educator, Joe currently teaches at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles and has conducted Jazz Guitar seminars throughout the United States, Europe and Brazil. Additionally, Joe was one of the three founding instructors for the Guitar Institute of Technology (G.I.T.) in Hollywood California. However, Joe has left G.I.T. since the school's new management shunned the jazz focus.

Joe has released an instructional video, written articles for Guitar Player Magazine and authored more than seven Jazz instructional books. See them all at www.joediorio.com/market.htm.
