Happy Traum About the Educator

Happy Traum began playing guitar and 5-string banjo in the mid-1950's as an active participant in the legendary Greenwich Village folk scene, and has since performed extensively throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia, and Japan. He has performed and recorded with Bob Dylan, Phil Ochs, Pete Seeger, John Sebastian, Rick Danko, Paul Butterfield and numerous others, but is best-known for his work with his brother, Artie Traum.
Happy, with his wife Jane, founded Homespun Tapes in 1967. He has produced approximately 400 different music instruction lessons on audio and video tape, taught by top professional performing musicians, and brings to Homespun his many years of experience as a guitarist, performer, writer, teacher, and popular member of the music community.
