Bob Balsley About the Educator

Chuck Berry. Mickey Gilley. Bobby Vinton. The Green Bay Symphony Orchestra. Most guitarists would be honored to have played with one of these, but Bob Balsley has played with them all. Heritage and Washburn Guitars have both recognized his artistry by making him an endorsing artist for their products, and his book, "Understanding Guitar Chords," was recently published by the top name in guitar teaching, Mel Bay Publications. For over thirty years, Bob has performed and taught jazz, blues, rock, country, R&B and classical guitar. His first album was released at the age of twelve. His newest release, "It Takes a Big Dog," features Doobie Brothers' drummer Keith Knudsen, bassist George Hawkins from Kenny Loggins' band, and sax player Dave Boruff, best known for the theme from L.A. Law.
