Again, please take the time to look over the written solo and identify the relationship between each note and the chord that's sounding. Especially notice the notes on the downbeats of each new chord change. Though by no means is this something you have to do all the time, (there are all sorts of effective strategies for playing well on chord changes), if you get used to landing on chord tones on the downbeats, your playing will sound like you're really aware of the harmony and you'll sound like you're making music with intention. The results can be powerful.
