Watch the Minor Pedal online guitar lesson by David Grissom from Open Road Guitar
In this study I will be playing in F#m blues where the V is also a min7 chord. I will be using the F3 Dorian scale and the F#m blues scale and combining the two. I'll also use some open string ideas using pull offs in the first half. In the second chorus I'm going to really concentrate on pedal tones. I'll show you pedal tones through two octaves and how hybrid picking is so important to laying those ideas. When I hit the C#m7 chord and use double stop bends with my first finger then go into an F3m blues scale. To finish it off I'll go back to what I played at the beginning of the tune.
