Watch the Bigsby online guitar lesson by Jason Loughlin from Rockabilly Survival Guide: Lead

One of the greatest inventions ever! There are few sounds that bring me more joy than a major 6/9 chord with a bigsby vibrato. The sound of the bigsby was popularized by Cliff Gallup and Chet Atkins. It's a subtle vibrato that can be very expressive. I want to take a deeper look at the use of vibrato. You want to to have the ability to know when to use a fast or slow, wide or short or rhythmic vibrato. Another great bigsby sound is the dip. I'm talking about using the bar to bend a chord either down or up a half step. We will also look at replacing fretted notes with bigsby bends.
