Watch the Bending Lick For E Shape online guitar lesson by Jason Loughlin from 1-2-3 Country

This first bending lick is over the E chord shape. All these sets of bends are meant to ring into each other. We start by bending into the 3rd from a half step underneath and then plucking the 5th while the bend is still ringing. The next bend is a diatonic bend into the 5th. This is held while we play the b7th above. The last bend is a combination of a diatonic bend and a bend release. This one sounds the closest to a common steel bend. Always bend with more than one finger. Make sure you hold your bends in tune when going for the higher note.
