There are basically three licks here strung together. The G run is taken directly from that cliché bluegrass run. I’ve played through three octaves here. At the end of the third octave, I play the flatted seventh, a blues scale note instead of completing the octave. Next I move into a blues lick. The descending lick in sixths also has some bluesy sounds to it because of the flatted seventh (Bb). There’s a little bit of “clucking” there on those third string chromatics. The lower octave runs at the end come right out of the blues scale. So there you have it, a combination of the major and minor pentatonic scales.
