Watch the Swing Rhythm 2 online guitar lesson by Joe Dalton from 100 Twang Thangs

Moving from the 1 chord to the 4 chord, we can use the 1 dominant. The closest dominant sound was the 9th. By moving down two frets and pulling the pinky back, we get the E9th chord. To exercise this point, I repeated the idea on the A6th chord by moving to the A9th in the same fashion. This works provided the progression calls for an A dominant sound. Otherwise, you should be moving to a D chord at this point. Again, I only did this on the A chord to provide another spot to practice this idea in the one example.
