Watch the Double Stops 3 online guitar lesson by Joe Dalton from 100 Twang Thangs

The first lick is a dominant seventh sound (G7). The next are thirds moving chromatically down a step. The G and the B (root and third) move down to F and a seventh and ninth). This is where we pick up the ninth sound. Next we outline the C chord by moving in chromatically. After a repeat of the opening lick, we have a descending D lick which is nothing more than the G scale harmonized in thirds. The next G7 lick is somewhat tricky. Keep the first and second string stationary while bending the third string. Practice this over and over until you get it right. Once you have the bend, the rest is just picking. Next is the eighth fret C barre chord broken in to double stops and approached chromatically. More of the G7 lick followed by the D lick of descending harmonized scale and an ending finishes out this example.
