Watch the Milan Pavan: Strain 1 online guitar lesson by Andrew Leonard from Beginner Method for Classical Guitar

Strain 1 of Milán's "Pavan 1" is four measures long. It incorporates all four of our left hand positions for classical guitar. It begins with a chordal passage using transverse and angled in positions. A short scalar passage follows using parallel position. The final two measures combine chords studied in the left hand Milán Pavan Chordal Passage. Remember to listen for the melody - the top note of each chord. Lastly, take your time. It's more beneficial to focus on practicing with smooth fluid hand movements than it is to hurry.

Oops! At 1:37 I play the open 3rd string, the G string and call it E. What was I thinking?
