Watch the Pedaling online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from Chord Studies: Slash Chords Vol. 2
In this progression, we've got a pedal tone in the bass and we're moving sus2 chords around. On the first chord, Esus2, make sure to extend your first finger slightly to deaden the sixth string. Your third finger will be a guide as you move up three frets and drop down the second finger for the Gsus2/E. The Csus2 with E in the bass could also be thought of as a Cadd9. You'll utilize the same fingering as the Gsus2 for the Dsus2, except your second finger will be catching the bass note on the fifth string instead of the sixth string.
