Watch the Phrygian Flavor online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from Chord Studies: Slash Chords Vol. 1
This is a Phrygian dominant jam in the key of A. We will be playing two chords with different inversions along the string axis. We start off with a standard A chord, finger one barreing strings two through four. Move up one fret and add your third finger and you'll see we have a Gm/A, coming straight out of a Gm barre chord. Move up two more frets and add your second finger to be back at A, then up one more fret to secure the last Gm/A. This is a great chance to wrap your ears around that Phrygian flavor.
