In this progression we will start of with an Am chord, using our second, third and fourth strings to play each of the triads. Your third finger will be a guide when you move to the G/A chord. You move the same shape down a step and play the F/A chord, focusing on minimal movement. The D/E chord could be thought of as your five string D barre chord with the bass moved up one step to E.
