Watch the Bridge the Gap online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from Chord Studies: Slash Chords Vol. 1
We're starting this progression off with an Em derived straight from our fifth string barre chord form, except we will be utilizing what's called a curl barre to get that low E note while muting the fourth string. Your third finger will be a guide finger as you move down to the D/E chord. Take note of how the C/E form is taken straight from our six string C barre chord form. Try hybrid picking if you want to include the bassline, or just play the top voicings along with the bass in the track to get more of a full band feel.
