This example features the same chords we've been using but with a little extra flavor! Our first chord here is Am with an added ninth. To get the ninth, we move the root of the chord up a whole step on the third string to a B. By now you'll notice the familiar move of raising the E to an F, except this time we've got a B note in the F chord, which would be the ♯11. We've also got the E on top so this gives us an Fmaj7♯11 / A. Don't worry if that looks like a crazy chord name - just play it and get it into your ears.
