Watch the Start On Five online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from Chord Studies: Open String Chords Vol. 2

In this progression we are starting off on the V chord in the key of A. Our V chord is a beautiful Eadd9 - keeping your fingers upright is crucial here. Your third finger will be a pivot finger as you go into your Aadd9 chord, which is just your standard barre chord shape with the first two strings open. When playing the D6/9 for the second time, try putting your second finger down on the third fret, third string to help you get back into place for the Eadd9.
