Watch the Classical Jiggy online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from Chord Studies: Jazz Funk Vol. 1
This is a great example of how you take a typical chord and start extending it both physically and musically. The chord shape comes from classical guitar so it may feel a bit stretchy at first. Relax your hand and work on getting the barre very straight and your wrist under the neck and then stretch your little finger up to the 11 on the first string. When you move to the next chord you can keep your third finger in place and bring the little finger in. Don't worry too much about the 4th string coming through in the second voicing, as the b7 it would cover is now being played on the second string.
